Course summary

Kickstart your career with a Business Management degree from LTU.

This course has been developed with employers to make sure you graduate with the skills and experience you need to succeed.

You'll study the essential functions of management, operations and HR, build a professional portfolio, and develop a wide-ranging knowledge of organisations and the business environment.

Learn how organisations are structured and managed, and get a grounding in accounting, finance and marketing.

You'll explore the legal, ethical and sustainability issues facing companies locally and internationally.

The course content aims to mirror the modern business environment.

You'll be taught by lecturers with industry experience, applying business management theory to real-life case studies.

You'll work in small groups to produce reports and presentations, giving you the confidence and skills to work effectively in project teams when you graduate.

Professional work placements
You’ll complete professional work placements as part of your degree. Recent students have completed placements at a variety of organisations including Arcadia Group, Leeds Playhouse, Bradford City Council and Aviva.

Graduate opportunities
You’ll graduate with the knowledge, skills and experience to work effectively in a managerial role within a business organisation. Our graduates work in a range of business management roles in diverse industries across the UK and abroad. You’ll also be well-prepared for a management trainee role, or you could continue on to postgraduate study.
