On this master's in educational practice, you'll learn how to respond to the teaching needs of different types of learners, to give all students an equal chance to achieve their full potential. You will explore innovations across Lifelong and Work-related learning sectors with a focus on, policy and innovative practice and, research and theoretical perspectives. You’ll study different teaching and learning methods and learn how to conduct and analyse educational research in the fields of innovation and inclusive practices:
• Carrying out world-leading research in higher education, social justice, and inclusive education, educational effectiveness, mathematics, science, and health education
• Covering the full spectrum, from early years to post-compulsory and lifelong learning
This programme will appeal to a broad spectrum of teachers and practitioners across all educational sectors but particularly those in post-compulsory education organisations.
This is a research-focused course. You’ll be expected to assess the impact of research in education and how it affects educational strategies and policies with a focus on contemporary teaching and learning models for innovation.
On our MSc Education Practice and Innovation you’ll learn to:
recognise innovation in learning and teaching
appreciate the context and policy drivers across the Lifelong and Work-Related sector
interrogate different forms of innovation and associated claims
explore emerging trends, including barriers and enablers of change in educational innovation
recognise and critique the major processes of training and development
You’ll join a close-knit and diverse learning community, we offer an exceptional academic experience, with small-group teaching that allows you to explore topics in-depth and plenty of support to ensure you achieve your potential. You’ll graduate with the skills to analyse the challenges facing education and critically reflect on your teaching and learning practices to advance your career.
