This course for intercalating medical students comprises four taught modules and a research project. The taught modules are designed to give a solid foundation in qualitative and quantitative research, including study design, research methods, statistics, ethics and research governance. The research project is a substantial piece of practical work running throughout the course.

Working with national and international experts within their research fields, you will contribute a significant piece of research to your chosen discipline, often presenting your work at national and international conferences. You can conduct laboratory and in silico-based projects within the College of Life Sciences or more clinically focused projects in collaboration with colleagues at University Hospitals Leicester.
