Make a positive difference to people’s lives and explore the most fascinating subject of all: the human mind.
You’ll learn about cognition, development and neuroscience from industry experts, delving deeper into topics like memory, social relationships, the ageing brain and forensics. The practical skills you’ll develop could help to tackle real-life challenges like dementia.
There are so many rewarding routes you can take with this degree, which offers the rare opportunity to fast-track on to a fully funded Clinical Psychology Doctorate.
Plus, there is an opportunity to take a placement year as part of your degree. Taken between the second and final year, this is an opportunity to embed your new knowledge in real-world settings, gaining hands-on experience and professional connections that set you apart in the job market.
Why study at Hull?
Make a difference: Be at the forefront of research on the psychological effects of real-world challenges like dementia, trauma and mental health.
Expert guidance: We’ve been teaching psychology since 1928 when Freudian theory was in its infancy and high-tech brain scanners were introduced. And we’re still at the forefront now.
Excellent prospects: Graduate with a named-pathway degree in areas such as Neuroscience or Applied Psychology, or fast track on to our fully funded Clinical Psychology Doctorate (ClinPsyD) programme.
