If you don’t have, or don’t think you will attain, the normal tariff points for studying at Lincoln Bishop University, this course will enable you to study for a degree without any UCAS points. The course is delivered over four years and includes a Foundation Year, which gives you a perfect introduction to what it means to be a university student and prepares you for effective undergraduate study. In your Foundation Year, you will study eight modules, all of which are designed to equip you with the necessary academic skills and knowledge to progress successfully in your chosen subject. You will also engage in a series of bespoke subject sessions delivered by experts, designed to introduce you to your chosen subject area.

Assessment on the Education Studies course at Lincoln Bishop University is designed to be varied, supportive, and relevant to your future career. Rather than traditional examinations, you will be assessed through a diverse range of coursework, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding and skills in multiple ways.

You will complete essays, reports, reflective logs, and portfolios, all of which help you develop your academic writing and critical thinking. Oral and multimedia presentations are also an important part of the course, giving you the opportunity to work collaboratively and communicate your ideas effectively. Throughout your studies, you will take part in one or two group oral or poster presentations, building your confidence in presenting to others.

As you progress, you will gradually develop your multimedia skills, culminating in your final year with the creation and sharing of a short, assessed multimedia film with your peers. This hands-on approach ensures you are well-prepared for the demands of modern educational and professional environments.

From your very first year, you will steadily build your writing abilities. You will complete a portfolio of shorter written pieces and two longer essays, receiving constructive, formative feedback from your tutors to help you grow academically and refine your skills.
