Portsmouth is the only University in the UK with the flexibility to choose when to do an optional paid placement or self-employed year. Either take a placement in your third year, or finish your studies first and complete a placement in your fourth year. You can decide if and when to take a placement after you've started your course.
Overview
Discover how to succeed in global business by combining business knowledge with language skills and cultural awareness on this BA (Hons) International Business and Languages degree course. By the time you graduate, you’ll be prepared for a career where you could travel, collaborate with people from different countries or help companies expand internationally. You’ll also have a strong foundation in business principles, fluency in foreign languages, and the cultural competence needed to navigate the complexities of today’s global business landscape.
You'll also have the opportunity to study abroad in a country where your chosen language is spoken, as well as take an optional industry placement to put your learned skills to the test in the real world.
