Course summary

If you currently hold an HND (Higher National Diploma) or equivalent, the BSc (Hons) Applied Computing (Top-Up) allows you to gain a full undergraduate degree within one year of study. This course will enhance your expertise in applied computer technologies, applied computer science, and applied business computers, helping you to develop critical skills in cyber security, networks, and management.

Learn technical knowledge of cyber threat intelligence, risk management, and relevant industry standards. This course will help you meet the challenges facing businesses, and become the professional experts they need.

Learn from experts in security-related technologies and industry. They will cover everything from cloud computing to project management, as well as sharing their own research.

Explore our fantastic computing resources at our Docklands campus. This includes specialised labs to explore networking and operating system environments. Top-Up your diploma: join the third year of our applied computing course and top-up your diploma or foundation degree to a full BSc.

This applied computer science training is delivered by experts in security technologies, covering essential topics like cloud computing and project management. You will also learn about computer methods in applied mechanics and engineering, ensuring you are well-prepared for industry standards and challenges.

January starts: You will join this Top-Up final year in January and complete your first semester before the summer break and your second semester after the summer break, completing your studies and gaining a full BSc (Hons) in applied computer science in just one year.
