This integrated programme is designed to prepare and support you for a career in accounting, finance and the wider business sector. From the moment you enrol, you will begin developing the knowledge and skills needed to understand how financial information supports decision-making in organisations.
In the first year, you will build a strong foundation for studying at university level. You will develop key academic and professional skills such as communication, numeracy, critical thinking and independent learning, while exploring contemporary issues affecting organisations and the global economy. Through project work and practical activities, you will begin to interpret financial information, analyse data and develop your problem-solving skills.
As you progress, you will explore accounting and finance in greater depth, including areas such as financial reporting, management accounting, auditing, taxation and corporate finance. You will develop your understanding of how financial information is used to assess performance and support strategic decision-making.
The programme prepares you for a wide range of careers in accounting, finance and business, and provides a strong foundation for further professional study.

Through project work and practical activities, you will begin to analyse data, interpret financial information and develop your problem-solving skills.
The programme uses a range of teaching methods including lectures, seminars and workshops, where you will explore key concepts and apply them to real-world examples, including financial scenarios and case studies. You will be supported to develop your academic skills and approach to learning.
As you progress, you will explore accounting and finance in greater depth, developing your ability to evaluate financial performance, interpret data and support decision-making in a business context.
Assessment varies by module and may include coursework, reports, presentations, data analysis tasks and examinations. You will receive feedback to support your development, with assessments becoming more independent and analytical as you progress.

Plus GCSE English at grade C/grade 4 (equivalents accepted).
72 UCAS tariff points.
72 UCAS points plus English A at SL5 or HL5 with no subskills below 4 or English B at HL5 with no subskills below 5 or SL 7 with no subskills below 6.
If you are a mature applicant (aged 21 and over), you will be eligible to apply for this course with level 2 qualifications (or GCSE equivalents). You will also need to provide a written statement, and will be interviewed as part of the process.
