The requirement is 60 credits overall with 45 graded credits at Level 3. 30 credits must be achieved at Distinction, usually including 15 from Biology, Chemistry or Biochemistry and another 15 in acceptable science subjects. The remaining 15 credits must be achieved at Merit.
This qualification is accepted in combination with two Scottish Advanced Highers at grades AA in two science-based subjects. At least one of Biology or Chemistry is required plus a second science-based subject.
The second science subject can be from Biology, Chemistry, Food Technology, Home Economics, Geography, IT, Maths, Physics, PE or Psychology.

This qualification is only accepted in combination with five Scottish Highers at grades AABBB.
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
32 pointsIB Diploma 32 points including HL6,4 or HL5,5 in at least 1 of HL Biology or Chemistry plus a second HL science from: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Computer Science, Psychology or Sports, Exercise and Health Science.
Alternatively, 665/764/755 in 3 Higher Level certificates, including at least 1 of Biology or Chemistry plus a second HL science from: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Computer Science, Psychology or Sports, Exercise and Health Science.
Higher Level or Standard Level Chemistry is a requirement for applicants who have not achieved GCSE Chemistry, Combined Science or equivalent.
WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales
A* - CThis qualification is accepted as equivalent to a non-science based A Level.
Considered alongside 3 A Levels or equivalent.

Cambridge International Pre-U Certificate - Principal

GCSE/National 4/National 5
GCSE English Language or Literature and Mathematics grade C/4.
If A Level Chemistry (or equivalent) has not been taken, GCSE Chemistry grade B/5 or an integrated science subject such as Combined Science at grade BB/55 is required.
AQA Certificate in Mathematical Studies (Core Maths)
AThis qualification is considered alongside 3 A-levels (or equivalent). Level 3 Core Maths qualifications from other awarding bodies are also acceptable:

- OCR Level 3 Certificate in Core Maths A (MEI)
- OCR Level 3 Certificate in Core Maths B (MEI)
A 1-grade lower offer will only be considered for applicants studying 3 A Levels or equivalent plus a Level 3 Core Maths qualification where A Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics has not been studied.
