Learn how to understand clients, meet user needs, and graduate as a designer in-demand.
This one-year top-up is for aspiring interior designers who are ready to master their craft via studios and workshops. You’ll sharpen your skills in design fundamentals, as well as learning how to truly understand what clients want and what users need – an invaluable skill for when you hit the job market.
At UCA, you'll have your own dedicated studio space – not shared with other courses, not cleared at the end of the day. That means you can build large-scale site models, test spatial ideas over time, and work the way professional interior designers actually work: iteratively, at scale, and with room to get things wrong before you get them right.
Through your final project, you'll define your design identity and produce a body of work ready to show at the very top of the industry. Recent graduates have gone on to roles at Sheppard Robson, BAT Studio, Holloway Architects and Warner Bros. Studios – working across commercial, cultural, and heritage design.
