Course Modules

Year 1
Collaborate with directors and creatives to bring stories to life across stage, screen, and emerging media. You'll build your actor’s toolkit through improvisation, voice, and movement and explore how the body communicates in live and recorded environments, from theatre to film and motion capture. Develop scenes from script to performance while engaging critically with design, lighting, and scenography.

Year 2
Expand your performance skills across diverse platforms – from radio and podcasts to immersive theatre and digital media. Explore voice work for audio drama and podcasting, and discover how acting shifts in front of the camera and in motion capture environments. Engage with theatre as a tool for social change through applied practices, and take part in a professional theatre residency. You'll develop your technical awareness with hands-on production experience, collaborating with specialists to bring performances to life in both live and recorded formats.

Optional placement year
Undertake an optional placement year where you can build a number of key employability skills. Put theory into practice, get a taste for your chosen career and expand upon your professional network.

Final year
Deepen your understanding of performance through research, dramaturgy, and composition, exploring how ideas move from concept to stage or screen. Hone advanced screen acting techniques in collaboration with film students, and develop your artistic voice through your final major project. You'll build an industry-ready portfolio that reflects your unique focus as a performer and creative practitioner.
