Overview

Prepare to excel as a leader in business with our renowned MSc in Management course, designed for the business innovators of tomorrow.

Effective management requires the ability to view problems from multiple perspectives and recognise that there might not always be a single right answer. In this course, you’ll study a range of business disciplines, learning to handle such complexities. You’ll approach the science of management from an evidence-based perspective, understanding what works in the field and why. By critically analysing existing theories, you’ll learn to develop and propose your own solutions.

As a research-based Master’s programme, a background in business is essential. You might be transitioning directly from undergraduate studies or have some industry experience since graduating. Many of our students have worked in or plan to work in family businesses. You’ll be open-minded, intellectually curious, and a creative thinker, ambitious about finding innovative solutions to complex business problems. You’ll study key business disciplines, including management, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, logistics, human resources, organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship, business creation, and branding, gaining a broad understanding of markets and their functions.

After building a firm foundation through taught modules, you’ll begin your dissertation, exploring a problem of your choice with guidance from an academic adviser. This project allows you to tackle significant issues while developing research and analytical skills vital for ongoing innovation in your career. You’ll learn to approach issues scientifically, make decisions based on evidence, and use literature and research to solve problems - essential skills for any business leader.

Here at UEA, you’ll learn from leading academics and practitioners, immersing yourself in all aspects of business. You’ll generalise insights and techniques across sectors, regions, cultures, and disciplines. The broad focus of this course ensures you’ll graduate with the ability to view challenges from multiple perspectives, positioning yourself to excel as a leader in your field.

Hi, I'm Alexandra and I'm a 2nd year Drama and Creative Writing undergraduate student at UEA. I'm Spanish/Bolivian but have lived most of my life in Bolivia. As someone with a passion for stage and screen, I chose the Drama and Creative Writing course at UEA to develop and acquire more skills that would allow me to succeed in my career path. I am particularly passionate about scriptwriting, acting and filmmaking, so in the future, I hope I can dedicate myself to all of them. I was previously studying graphic design in Bolivia, but I decided to apply to UEA to pursue my goals; however, I still dedicate some time to it because I love it. I also enjoy photography (especially nature photography), drawing and painting, writing and dancing.

I enjoy developing myself as a student, learning new skills and interacting with people. A favorite pastime of mine is reading, especially thrillers but I'm open to other genres as well. I'm originally from India, specifically from Lucknow, the city of Nawabs (and Tunday kababs), and relish trying new foods and connecting with people from different cultures through their traditions :) Having grown up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, that is the place I call home. The links I have to all these different places has given me a broader worldview, and allowed me to experience life from a different lens.
