Overview
Prepare to excel as a leader in business with our renowned MSc in Management course, designed for the business innovators of tomorrow.
Effective management requires the ability to view problems from multiple perspectives and recognise that there might not always be a single right answer. In this course, you’ll study a range of business disciplines, learning to handle such complexities. You’ll approach the science of management from an evidence-based perspective, understanding what works in the field and why. By critically analysing existing theories, you’ll learn to develop and propose your own solutions.
As a research-based Master’s programme, a background in business is essential. You might be transitioning directly from undergraduate studies or have some industry experience since graduating. Many of our students have worked in or plan to work in family businesses. You’ll be open-minded, intellectually curious, and a creative thinker, ambitious about finding innovative solutions to complex business problems. You’ll study key business disciplines, including management, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, logistics, human resources, organisational behaviour, entrepreneurship, business creation, and branding, gaining a broad understanding of markets and their functions.
After building a firm foundation through taught modules, you’ll begin your dissertation, exploring a problem of your choice with guidance from an academic adviser. This project allows you to tackle significant issues while developing research and analytical skills vital for ongoing innovation in your career. You’ll learn to approach issues scientifically, make decisions based on evidence, and use literature and research to solve problems - essential skills for any business leader.
