Advanced mechanical systems and sustainable energy systems – Study the design of sustainable energy systems and analyse their performance.

Mechanical dynamics and mechatronics – Know how to apply typical sensors, actuators, control strategies and interface technology in electro-mechanical systems.

Applied heat transfer, thermofluids and computational fluid dynamics – Analyse and develop solutions for complex problems within heat transfer and thermofluids fields.

Research methodologies and project management – Apply project management theory and research methods in practice, working within legal and ethical boundaries.

MSc project – Mechanical Engineering – Work creatively to generate an idea and develop it, applying your technical, analytical, organisational and practical skills.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a good undergraduate degree at Honours level, or equivalent and have evidence of having studied at least 2 of the following (or closely aligned topics): engineering mathematics, analogue and digital electronics, circuits design and analysis, signal processing, digital communications, control engineering during your undergraduate studies, or having evidence of equivalent experience.
