Following recent updates to our Marketing courses, this programme is available for Year 1 entry only. Applicants seeking entry to Year 2 or beyond should apply for the BA (Hons) Marketing and Business Management (N500) or associated pathways.

Modules

Year 1: Introduction to Business, Business Data, Introduction to Marketing, Being Successful at Abertay, Successful Writing at Abertay, Managing Processes and People, Digital Skills for University and Beyond! Assessment method

The assessments for this programme is based on a foundation of authentic learning that supports the professional and academic ambitions of the whole graduate. The assessments will allow students to demonstrate application of knowledge in real-world contexts through live projects, capstones and other forms of authentic assessment. This facilitates the development of critical thinking skills, creativity and employability within our graduates.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:

Scottish HNC - Pass

Entry into Year 1 with an HNC in one of the following:- Administration & IT - Graded Unit C Accounting - Graded Unit C Fashion Business - Graded Unit C Human Resource Management - Graded Unit C Music Business - Graded Unit C Retail Management - Graded Unit C.

T Level - Pass (C and above)

In Core Component - Education & Early Years / Legal Services / Finance / Accounting / Management & Administration / Agriculture, Land Management & Production

Applicants should have National 5/GCSE English and Maths/Lifeskill Maths/Application of Maths at grade C/4 or equivalent. Higher Applications of Maths at grade C.
