What To Expect
Dive deep into the heart of acting with an immersive, hands-on curriculum. Our practical, portfolio-driven approach ensures that you master a range of established techniques in relation to text, character and performance, alongside the core disciplines of movement, voice, and singing. Three dynamic themes run through each level: a methodological approach to actor training, engaging media training, and the exciting role of the actor as both creator and innovator. This comprehensive approach reflects the demands and diversity of the 21st century creative industries.

Foundation Year
If you feel you need some extra preparation before the full undergraduate degree experience, this Integrated Foundation Year (IFY) might be for you. The Bournemouth Film School IFY is for those who may not have the academic qualifications needed for admission onto the degree course or perhaps want the time and space to develop a foundation in core skills. After IFY, you will have a clearer understanding of your strengths, interests and ambitions.
Students enrolled on the IFY will be a part of a cohort with other students in IFY courses across the Bournemouth FilmSchool. Incorporating opportunities for you to work alongside your classmates, integrating opportunities for collaboration and fostering professional relationships to carry you throughout your degree and into your professional practice.

We are happy to accept a wide range of qualifications, including but not limited to: A Levels, BTEC Extended Diploma, OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma, BTEC Subsidiary Diploma(s), Access to HE courses, Scottish Highers, IB Diploma Programme, Foundation Diploma in Art and Design. Other relevant and equivalent Level 3 qualifications are considered on an individual basis and we are happy to accept applicants with a combination of Level 3 qualifications.
AUB considers the whole of the application when making admissions decision. While we'll make an offer based on the qualifications declared on your application, we also factor in your personal statement, your reference and – where appropriate – your portfolio or audition. Therefore, applicants who may not achieve the academic results listed will still be considered for an offer.
