Course summary
BA (Hons) Acting is a three-year full-time undergraduate course. This intensive practical and performance-based training offers an exceptional environment in which to pursue professional actor training for theatre, screen and digital media. Working with world-class practitioners and coaches, you will develop your individual strengths through daily classes, rehearsals and performance projects, including acting methods, voice and text, movement, singing, screen work, radio acting and devised theatre. The programme is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and professional strategies needed to sustain a career across theatre, film, television, audio and digital media.
We do not currently offer entry beyond Year 1 for this programme.

Principal study options
During the application and audition process, you must select which instrument(s) you wish to specialise in for the duration of your course. On this course, you can choose from the following options:

For all courses, you must select at least one specialism from the 'primary' list. For those studying primary/secondary pathways, two instruments may be selected – one from the 'primary' list and one from the 'secondary' list. Joint pathway students may select any two instruments from either list.

Selection is made on the basis of an audition process.
Applicants must have completed or be in their final year of their A-Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification prior to entry. Equivalent qualifications include Scottish Highers, BTEC National Diploma/Certificate, WBQ, International Baccalaureate, Advanced GNVQ, AVCE or Advanced Diploma (level 3), and recognised international qualifications.
