Course summary

The Foundation Year in Criminology forms part of an integrated four-year degree programme and is designed for students who do not currently meet the admissions criteria for direct entry onto a full Criminology degree.

Prepare for a career in Criminology while building the academic skills needed to succeed at university. Across the Foundation Year, you’ll explore key criminology themes including crime, media, ethics and policing, alongside developing core academic and professional skills. Through discussion, applied activities, teamwork and reflection, you’ll strengthen research, communication and critical thinking, preparing you for successful progression into the full Criminology degree and future careers.
