Course summary

The MA International Relations is designed for graduates and those with experience in national and international politics and governance. It provides a thorough grounding in current theories, practices and priorities in international relations. It develops the skills needed by current and future leaders. International relations is more complex than ever. Not only are states and international organisations involved in shaping and managing our world, but non-governmental organisations, civil society, social
movements and even human individuals now have considerable power and influence. Rapid global change is having major impacts on how our world is managed today. This is particularly evident in relation to the environment, populism and social media, and ideological developments.

Our MA delivers the essentials for a career in international relations, allowing students to obtain and rehearse the skills needed to address these pressing issues. The programme’s rigour and depth will better equip tomorrow’s leaders to progress significantly in their careers.
