How do businesses succeed in a changing global economy? On this BSc Economics and Business Management degree, you will explore how economic forces shape organisations, and how businesses respond, adapt and grow.
You will combine economic analysis with management insight, building a strong understanding of both theory and practice. This means not just understanding how economies work, but how decisions are made within businesses and what drives success.
From your first year, you will gain hands-on experience using Bloomberg terminals in our Financial Laboratory (FinLab), working with real financial data. You can also enhance your employability with a Bloomberg Markets Concepts qualification, developing skills that are valued by employers worldwide.
Delivered in partnership with Southampton Business School, this course gives you the flexibility to shape your learning and prepare for a wide range of careers.

This course is delivered in collaboration with Southampton Business School, combining expertise in economics and management to support your academic and professional development.
You will study various topics covering the fundamental aspects of Economics and Business Management.
You can choose between a number of 'pathways' through the degree, to reflect your background and interests. Module choices in year one depend on whether you have studied economics at A level.
Some of the modules you may study include Introduction to Business and Finance; Business in Society; Behavioural Economics.

We welcome applicants with other qualifications eg. European Baccalaureate. You will be expected to attain an equivalent standard to the A level applicant and an equivalent to A level Mathematics grade B is also needed.
