The BTEC Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Music Performance provides students with the practical, technical, and professional skills required to develop as confident and versatile performers.

As the first stage of a progressive vocational learning pathway, the HNC enables learners to develop subject-specific and transferable skills and prepares them for progression to the BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) in Music Performance.

Pass: 45

Applicants are normally expected to have successfully completed the Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Music Performance or a closely related subject. Students should demonstrate appropriate practical skills, technical knowledge, and creative development gained during their HNC studies.

Alternative qualifications may be considered, such as a relevant Level 4 qualification, a foundation degree, or equivalent industry experience.

Applicants may be required to attend an interview and provide evidence of prior learning, such as a portfolio of music performance work.
