This interdisciplinary programme introduces students to the cultures and societies of Africa, Asia and the Middle East through their languages, literatures and screen culture, providing an understanding of the interconnectedness of these regions in an increasingly globalised world. Students will choose to specialise in one particular region through their languages and module choices. In combination with History, this degree programme provides a high standard of training in history as an academic discipline. Students will develop an in-depth understanding and appreciation of the history of Africa and Asia.

Reviewed on a case by case basis. Departments will consider the relevance of the BTEC and its relation to the proposed programme of study.
Pass Access to Higher Education Diploma with 60 credits overall including at least 45 credits at level 3. A minimum of 24 Level 3 credits must be at Distinction plus a minimum of 18 level 3 credits at Merit (or Distinction) and 3 level 3 credits at Pass.
30 points with minimum 15 points at HL and no HL lower than 3
