Our Electrical and Electronic Engineering HNC has been developed to help those looking to develop a career as an electrical/electronic engineer. As part of the course you will enhance your problem solving skills by studying topics such as electronic principles and electrical power. In addition, you will develop modern practical skills such as Computer Aided Design, PLC programming and embedded microcontrollers. On completion, you will be offered the opportunity to progress to an HND with a third year of study. You should either be employed by or intend to pursue a career in a relevant industry. You will study a number of core modules alongside your specialist modules. Modules will develop your understanding of a wide range of engineering techniques and provide you with the analytical tools and concepts necessary to understand the technical and managerial issues you may face in a career in engineering. You will apply theories and techniques to real world examples.
All previous students have either gained employment, achieved a promotion or progressed their career with increased responsibility, following this programme. You may also wish to continue your studies. You can progress on to an HND programme with Exeter College.
