Manchester

Designed by world-leading researchers and industry experts, this programme evolves with industrial practices and new technology in real-time.
Encompassing a broad multi-disciplinary field and many diverse topics, you will enjoy in-depth study spanning everything from the fundamentals of manufacturing processes to the management of manufacturing systems - with the opportunity for specialised study in your dissertation.
As you journey through the year, you will find we match a strong theoretical understanding, and creativity, with truly practical experience - enabling you to analyse and investigate problems in a fully-formed sense. Upon graduation, you will be confident in engaging in the design, development, and research involved in the creation of manufacturing technology.
The programme also prepares you for the effective management of manufacturing systems. Whilst intended primarily for those wishing to pursue an industrial career, it is equally relevant as preparation for research in advanced manufacturing technology and systems management.
In addition to industry-leading teaching, you will learn in our world-class facilities - the Home of Engineering and Materials. This space is the largest dedicated engineering university building in the UK, and home to excellent equipment ready to enable you to supplement theoretical learning with hands-on work.
