Studying our Sport Business Management degree provides you with an exciting pathway into a career within the world of sport.
This course focuses on the application of business principles to the sports industry and will equip you with skills and knowledge in areas of marketing, finance, leadership, management and operations within the context of sports organisations, teams and events. You will also have the chance to develop your entrepreneurial skills by having the chance to develop your own business idea.
The course utilises authentic assessments to give you the opportunity to work directly with sports organisations and play a part in solving their real-world problems. These experiences can support you in a range of potential careers, with some of our previous students having gone on to work with organisations such as McLaren, England Cricket Board and Sport England.

There will be a broad range of assessment methods used throughout the Business Management course so that students are exposed to the different types of task they might encounter in the workplace.
These will include coursework in the form of reports, portfolios of work, presentations (such as pitches and debates, peer assessment, reflective reviews, evaluation reports. In some modules students will encounter class tests and practical assessments. We continuously review the assessment methods used in order that they adequately prepare students for graduate level employment.
