The course combines the study of management practices with supportive teaching and exposure to real life experiences in professional settings. It is a programme in which theoretical and practical learning is enriched by input from successful industry professionals. This focus on industry practices within a Higher Education setting gives students the opportunity to sample, and prepare for, the work environment while completing their degree.
Whether you envisage your future as a project/commercial/marketing manager, or a business owner, it is a course which can contribute to you achieving such goals.
The course operates on a modular basis that provides flexibility and choice. Each module is worth a specified number of credits, with most modules counting for 20 or 40 academic credits, with each credit taken equating to a total amount of study time which includes scheduled teaching, independent study and assessment activity.
Most full-time students will take modules worth 40 credits per term. A total of 120 credits per level and 360 credits are needed for an honours degree as a whole. Overall grades for the course and degree classification are based on the marks obtained for modules taken at levels 5 and 6.
Compulsory modules enable you to cover key subject knowledge whilst and optional allow you to develop your own interests. Our teaching is informed by research, professional practice and industry engagement and modules change periodically to reflect developments in the discipline.
