Course summary

Gain the professional and technical knowledge to become a registered nurse specialising in child health on this two-year master's programme.

You will combine detailed theoretical study with excellent practical, clinical experience across a range of settings to gain a qualification that is highly regarded both professionally and academically. You will learn with expert clinical practitioners and leading researchers, opening up new career opportunities and enabling you to incorporate best practice and research into the care you provide.

You will study a range of theoretical and practical modules covering key principles and practices in children’s nursing, including:
acute care, diagnostics and treatment
long term care, recovery and rehabilitation
leading and managing in healthcare practice.

You will learn alongside students from other nursing pathways and professional disciplines such as Speech and Language Therapy, Optometry and Radiography, encouraging a multi-disciplinary approach that reflects professional clinical practice.

Second class honours degree

An awareness of health or health-related care issues. GSCE’s (or accepted equivalent) in Mathematics and English Language with a minimum of a grade 4 pass (C or above)
