Assessment method

Reflecting the diverse needs of learners and the skills required for effective development, we use a wide range of assessment methods. These are carefully designed and monitored to enable students to demonstrate the learning outcomes for each module and also to allow elements of choice and co-creation (e.g., Multidisciplinary Teamwork assessments, personalisation of discipline in Event Development Workflows & personalised Final Year Project assessments). Methods range from traditional essays and exams to video essays, live industry briefs, pitching to industry, literature reviews, reflective writing, strategy reports and research projects as well as content creation and practical output.. All modules have formative assessment opportunities for a midway feedback and development loop, and we ensure that students undertake a variety of assessment methods at each level and that they are both interesting and challenging and develop skills valued by employers as well as bring deeper meaning to the learners by understanding that work is being completed for more than just completing milestones.
