About the course
This MA explores the fast-evolving contexts, forms, content and ethics of journalism and media. You’ll learn through studying theory and practice to develop essential journalistic skills in a multimedia context.
By engaging with our interdisciplinary, cutting-edge research, you’ll understand the complex relationships between people, media and technology. You’ll also develop transferable skills of creative and critical thinking and analysis.
We’ll help you develop your professional skills through a diverse range of project-based teaching and assignments. You’ll:
learn to research and produce print and digital journalism through project-based teaching and assignments
contextualise journalistic and media practice within a theoretical framework of journalism and media studies
engage with transitional processes of journalism and media in the age of AI at local, regional and global levels
understand the power of media in our political, social, cultural and everyday life
We offer excellent technical facilities. These include a dedicated newsroom, the latest software, video and radio studios, and a suite of digital media laboratories.
