Course summary

Our BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management covers all aspects of construction, real estate and civil engineering. You'll tackle complex quantity surveying and construction project management issues. You'll address sustainability as well as life cycle costing, service innovation and value co-creation.

Gain expertise in estimating, construction cost management, and procurement strategies. Get a broad skill set in the field of quantity surveying. This covers procurement advice, valuation, contract administration, and project management.

Assessment method

Modules are assessed using different methods such as project reports, coursework, individual and group presentations, and exams to enable you to develop the best understanding of the subject area.

Feedback is normally provided to students within 15 working days in line with UEL's assessment and feedback policy.

YEAR 1: Coursework 30%, Exams 50%, Work-based assessment 20%
YEAR 2: Coursework 40%, Exams 40%, Work-based assessment 20%
YEAR 3: Coursework 60%, Exams 30%, Work-based assessment 10%

UCAS Tariff - 112 points

A level - BBC

Must include passes at A2 in at least two subjects.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DMM

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 27 points

including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level
