This course qualifies registered practitioners as Independent and Supplementary Prescribers (commonly known as the V300) able to provide the knowledge, skills, and training to prescribe safely and competently. It is for those who have the support of their employer and prescribing or are self-employed, met their professional body’s and the University’s criteria for admission, and are working in a role that requires them to independently prescribe.
The course takes place over 2 semesters leading to 40 level 7 credits and is validated by the NMC and HCPC.

To access the Non-Medical Prescribing for Nurses, Midwives and Allied Health Professionals (V300) you must be a registered nurse, midwife or allied health professional with at least one years’ post-registration experience.
