About the course

Law Foundation Studies: Certificate of Higher Education is a one year programme designed to prepare you for undergraduate study or a career in law. It introduces you to key legal concepts while helping you develop the academic skills required for degree level study.

This course is ideal if you do not yet meet the entry requirements for direct entry onto a law degree. You will strengthen your study skills and gain an understanding of the English legal system, legal methods and the relationship between law and society.

What you’ll study

You’ll build a solid foundation in law, while gaining professional skills valued across legal, public and private sectors, including academic writing, legal research, critical analysis, data interpretation and an understanding of public and private law.
