The Honours Degree in Sustainable Agriculture is validated by Ulster University. Following successful completion of the Foundation Degree in Agriculture, students must complete and pass the Bridging Studies modules before they can commence the BSc (Hons) Degree course modules.

BSc Sustainable Agriculture (Level 6):

Agri-business pathway modules:

• Agri-food policy and human resource management
• Farm performance management

Land Management pathway modules:

• Animal welfare and ethics in agriculture
• Advanced animal nutrition*

Assessment method

The Bridging Studies Programme is delivered as a combination of face to face and remote delivery in the period June to August (semester 3) immediately following completion of the Foundation degree and before progression into the Honours degree.

Both modules will be assessed by 100% continuous assessment with assignments submitted over the bridging period.

Entry requirements

Entry to this programme is dependent on you:
(i) having successfully completed the Foundation Degree in Agriculture and Technology at CAFRE and having achieved an average of 50% in your final year modules or
(ii) successfully completing the Foundation Degree in Agriculture and Technology at CAFRE and achieving an average of 50% in your final year modules
(iii) successfully completing a Bridging Studies Programme of two academic twenty credit modules over the summer in advance of September 2024.

You will receive details of Bridging Studies to the e mail you use in your application to the programme. The Bridging Programme is essentially three weeks formal delivery face to face at the College with a programme of directed learning on each module over the summer period.
Attendance is compulsory at all sessions.
