Develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to inspire the next generation with the BA (Hons) Primary Teaching (Social Science) degree at the University of Chichester.
This highly regarded three-year programme prepares you to become a qualified primary school teacher, specialising in Key Stages 1 and 2 (ages 5–11). You’ll gain hands-on experience teaching across the full breadth of the National Curriculum, while exploring the latest research into how children learn and thrive.

Through a blend of university-based study and extensive school placements across the South East, you’ll build practical classroom confidence while developing a strong understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design and inclusive teaching. The Social Sciences pathway offers the opportunity to engage with wider perspectives on education, society and childhood.
