You’ll gain cross-sector knowledge that reflects the broad reach of these industries, learning how they operate and adapt to technological and social change. The course also offers a global perspective, exploring diverse cultures and international media.
From day one, you’ll combine critical thinking with hands-on experience, applying ideas to real-world projects and building a portfolio that sets you apart.
You won’t just study theory; you’ll explore:
What drives innovation?
How do politics, technology and economics impact creativity?
Why do cultural trends matter?

Whether you’re passionate about immersive experiences, cultural leadership or digital storytelling, you’ll tailor your pathway to match your ambitions. Guided by experts, you’ll interrogate big questions about creativity, culture and innovation, and see how they shape strategies across global industries.
Practical and interdisciplinary skills are embedded in the course, and you’ll have the option to participate in the Cultural, Media and Visual Studies department-wide modules. You can also boost your media skills by getting involved with the Students’ Union award-winning broadcast and print groups – NSTV, URN, and Impact Magazine.
