Course summary

Study Product Design and Innovation at Aston University and develop the skills needed to design and develop innovative products. This course combines applied, project-based learning with industry-informed teaching.

  • Design-led learning focused on user-centred and sustainable design

  • Hands-on studio learning through prototyping and design briefs

  • Optional placement opportunities providing industry experience

  • Development of Aston Power Skills alongside technical expertise

Students have completed placements with organisations including Bosch, IBM and Caterpillar.

Graduates have progressed into roles such as product designer and design engineer at organisations including Dyson and Samsung.
