Course summary
This degree is the perfect foundation for proceeding into graduate-entry medicine, developing clinical skills alongside biomedical theory and health policy. Our aim is to widen access to Medicine. Aspiring doctors get the perfect foundation in this top-ranked course, gain a strong start on the skills and knowledge needed to study Graduate Entry Medicine, or to consider other clinical professions.
The USW degree is part of the graduate entry feeder scheme to medicine at Cardiff University (A101) and our graduates are also able to progress to postgraduate medicine at other universities. Every year, there are ten places available on the A101 programme for suitably qualified graduates of this course. For entry to this course the University normally requires a minimum 5 GCSEs including Mathematics/Numeracy and English at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent, but consideration is given to individual circumstances.

- An interview is required for this course. Those applying will be provided with further details if successful at the initial selection stage. All interviews take place at our Glyntaff Campus.
