This course is a specialist route through our BSc (Honours) Environmental Science (Q52) that focuses on environmental management. It’s an interdisciplinary course that combines aspects of biology, ecology, geography, chemistry, technology, management and social science to help you understand environmental situations from all perspectives. You’ll develop the scientific and technical knowledge and skills required to investigate ecosystems, understand fundamental environmental patterns and processes, and address local and global environmental issues. In addition, you’ll study the problems we face in understanding our natural environment and living sustainably.

This environmental science degree has three stages, each comprising 120 credits.
Stage 1: You’ll study a 60-credit module introducing topical environmental issues and a 60-credit module exploring scientific ideas that underpin the further study of science.
Stage 2: You’ll study a 60-credit core environmental science module that investigates our planet and how we affect it, and two 30-credit modules examining sustainability issues and solutions.
Stage 3: You’ll study three 30-credit environmental management modules and complete a 30-credit project module.
