Course summary

This programme is primarily aimed at Diagnostic Radiographers although the individual modules, if studied ‘stand-alone’, are applicable to a wide range of healthcare professionals.

You're able to combine modules from different clinical areas, such as: image interpretation, reporting, or breast imaging, to build a postgraduate portfolio culminating in a research dissertation to complete the Masters.

Accreditation
The MSc Diagnostic Imaging offered by London South Bank University was approved by the College of Radiographers for a period of five years, from 12/2020 to 12/2025 inclusive.

Building your qualification
This post-registration programme in Diagnostic Imaging is intentionally flexible; modules may be studied in any order and at your pace (provided all modules for an award are completed within a six year timeframe).

You'll meet with your personal tutor/course director each semester to discuss module choice and review your progress.

MSc qualification

  • Two mandatory modules, plus the dissertation

  • Build the rest of your qualification (180 credits) from range of specialist and generalist modules

PgDip qualification

  • Two mandatory modules

  • Build the rest of your qualification (120 credits) from range of specialist and generalist modules

PgCert qualification

  • One mandatory module

  • Build the rest of qualification (60 credits) from range of specialist and generalist modules

Module-by-module CPPD

Flexible module-by-module study through CPPD route, take a single module at-a-time building up to the above qualifications.
Students on this course could be eligible to receive a non-repayable amount of up to £11,000 per academic year with the NHS Learning Support Fund.
