Course summary

Our General Engineering programmes aim to develop graduates with the skills and knowledge to become rounded engineers with diverse experiences in a number of engineering fields, able to adapt to new challenges and deliver sustainable solutions for modern society. The programme includes bespoke modules designed for General Engineering programmes, as well as specialist modules aligning to the School’s wider engineering portfolio.

University has helped me discover sports psychology and performance analysis which is something I would like to look into for the future. I am interested in cancer research, immunochemistry and vaccine development and might get into doing a Biotechnology or Microbiology Masters at Lincoln or Cancer Immunology and Therapeutics at University of Nottingham. I am currently in the arts and crafts society, 20 minute society, Biochemistry society, video game society, tabletop society and musical society at Lincoln. I am looking to do badminton/squash/table tennis weekly too. :)

I love all things theatre, especially musicals and hope to be working on the West-End some day!     Hi I’m Ellie and I’m a Second Year Pharmacy student. I will be at Lincoln for 3 more years and plan on becoming a pharmacist when I graduate. I did A Level Biology, Chemistry, Maths and EPQ and I am very familiar with the clearing process due to my A levels not going as expected so feel free to ask questions around this subject too! Clearing felt very daunting at first when things didn’t go as planned on results day, but the process was actually really easy and ended up finding the university that’s best for me. Everything was so quick and it really helped me to settle into university lifestyle. So yeah, any questions you have about this I’m happy to answer :)

I took a gap year before starting university in which I worked and travelled, whilst deciding what I wanted my future to look like! After university, I want to either train to be an accountant, or a teacher, possibly in maths, business or my degree area. I joined the University of Lincoln's Athletics society in September 2024, which has allowed me to make new friends, and take part in many social and competitive events. I ran my first 10k race in April 2025 with fellow society members! I live at home and commuted to campus during my first year. I either walked, drove or got the bus to university.
