Course summary

This industry standard qualification is ideal if you are already employed in the construction sector. You will study eight units, with an emphasis on higher level construction techniques, design, and management of the construction process as well as how services are incorporated into building and the legal aspects of construction. You will have opportunities to put your theoretical knowledge into practice on site visits and in practical sessions in our purpose built Construction Training Centre.

The programme satisfies the requirements to become a member of CIBSE, which with appropriate industrial experience may lead to chartered status. Other possibilities for progression are; Building Services HND or Degree Apprenticeship.

This programme is an excellent progression option from the successful completion of the Level 3 BTEC National Certificate/Diploma or Extended Diploma in Construction or Civil Engineering. Preference will be given to merit grade students. Students with relevant industry experience will also be considered eligible.

Exeter College does not hold a CAS licence, and therefore is unable to consider applications from prospective learners who require a Student Visa. Non-UK nationals can be considered for courses as long as they already hold the Right to Study in the UK for purposes other than education.
