The course addresses a critical need in modern industry. This is the transition towards environmentally responsible and resource-efficient engineering systems. You'll learn to test and improve designs by considering environmental impact, cost, performance, and regulatory constraints. Throughout the course, you'll strengthen your analytical thinking and practical problem solving skills. You'll do this through applied projects and industry-relevant case studies.
You'll benefit from a research-informed teaching environment. In particular, in areas such as AI for materials, advanced manufacturing, and net-zero production. Access to specialist labs and links with industry ensure that your learning aligns with current practice.
The course supports progression towards professional registration. This includes Incorporated Engineer and Chartered Engineer status, subject to further experience.
When you graduate, you'll be ready for a career in sustainable product design or manufacturing engineering. You could also take on environmental and innovation-led roles across multiple sectors.
