Course summary

THIS PROGRAMME IS AVAILABLE TO SCOTTISH-DOMICILED APPLICANTS ONLY

Begin your degree at college and achieve an HND in two years. Study the identification, assessment and reduction of threats to an organisation's success along with core business skills at degree level.

GCU Pathways

Pathway students enrol on the undergraduate BA (Hons) Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University. In the first two years, they study the HND Legal Services at Glasgow City College with the opportunity to progress to year three of the degree here on campus.

Organisations are legally, financially and morally required to manage their risk-bearing activities. Risk is an inherent part of business, and risk managers are prized for their skills by organisations of all types and in all sectors.

The BA (Hons) Risk Management degree is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Institute for Risk Management (IRM) and offers a holistic approach to understanding risk that allows students to enter the industry sector at graduate level.

Choose to study the Risk Management Pathway if:

  • You want to help organisations identify and manage business and financial risks

  • You work best with lots of interaction from lecturing staff

  • You like working towards clear goals with a sense of achievement at the end of each year of study.
