The MSc Tropical Marine Biology is a one-year degree studied at our Colchester Campus.
You’ll gain the knowledge and skills needed to study and protect fragile marine systems.
The MSc Tropical Marine Biology gives you a multidisciplinary, research-led education in advanced theory of tropical marine biology and practical skills training in quantitative methods, data analytics and field techniques.
You'll be immersed in a real research environment as you complete your research project in-field, in our aquatic biology research facility, alongside our expert academics and PhD students in working academic research labs, or alongside one of our research partners across the globe.
You’ll graduate with the understanding and experience needed for a role in marine science, such as generating ecological survey data, prospecting for pharmaceuticals, practising data analytics, GIS mapping, or directing environmental policy.
