Throughout the course, you’ll gain the knowledge and practical skills needed to support families and young children across a variety of educational settings. This innovative programme is perfect if you aspire to roles such as Early Help Worker in Children’s Centres, Early Years Practitioner in specialist or mainstream settings, or if you’re interested in working with charities as a care support, respite or play worker, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. You’ll graduate ready to make a meaningful impact, equipped with the understanding and skills to support children and families in a range of rewarding careers.
Your first year in Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusion (SENDI) at Lincoln Bishop University is a vital step in your academic journey. We understand that settling into university life takes time, so you’ll receive personalised feedback and clear targets to help you build your confidence and develop your academic skills.
Our approach to assessment is varied and engaging, ensuring you can showcase your strengths in different ways. You’ll work on coursework portfolios, take part in group discussions, create multimedia presentations, and tackle individual projects, alongside traditional essays and a timed assessment in your final year. There’s even the exciting possibility of having your dissertation research published, giving you the chance to share your work with a wider audience.
We value the diverse backgrounds and experiences our students bring, so our assessment strategies are designed to be inclusive and supportive. In Early Childhood Studies, assessments take place at the end of each module, allowing you to demonstrate your understanding through portfolios, presentations, displays, written essays, debates, and multimedia projects.
