About the course

Media Foundation Studies: Certificate of Higher Education is a one year programme designed to prepare you for undergraduate study or a career in media. It introduces you to both the creative and theoretical aspects of media while strengthening your academic skills.

This course is ideal if you do not yet meet the entry requirements for direct entry onto a media degree. You will build confidence in your study skills while developing practical and analytical understanding of contemporary media practices.

What you’ll study

You’ll build a solid foundation in media studies, while gaining professional skills valued across creative and digital industries, including academic writing, research skills, visual analysis, content creation and an understanding of distributed and social media practices.
