Childhood studies is an exciting field drawing upon psychology, sociology and education theory. Early childhood experiences contribute to formative development and affect children for the rest of their lives. The modern world presents a wide range of new and challenging experiences for children, including 24/7 access to media, cultural diversity, cyber-bullying and increasing class sizes.
This course prepares students to enter a career working with infants and children - whether in education, health care or children’s services - and to make a positive contribution to formative years.
