Course summary

A recent addition to our portfolio of university level programmes is the Certificate of Higher Education.

This is a Level 4 stand alone qualification that is basically the first year of our Degree Programmes. The course will enable those students who are unable to commit to studying for a full BA Honours degree to have an understanding of, and learn the basic skills required in their chosen subject.

During the first year of study, students will have the chance to explore practical skills ranging from metal forming, fabrication, laser cutting, enameling and casting. Alongside this, students will undertake drawing workshops which are considered crucial to the development of design and observational skills, they will also develop a deep and informed theoretical knowledge of the field of jewellery.
