Professional accreditation
Our MSc Nursing courses are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). On completion of the course, you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered Adult Nurse.

For the MSc Nursing you will hold a Bachelor's degree with Honours at a 2:1 in any subject or a 2:2 in a health related subject, such as Biological Sciences, Psychology or Public Health.
You must also hold maths and English GCSE grade 4-9 (A-C) or Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent.
Prior to beginning the course you will need to have undertaken 750 hours of practice experience. You will then need to submit a Recognition of Prior Experiential Learning (RPEL) application portfolio of evidence that documents these 750 hours and includes a CV, record of application for Disclosure Barring Scheme (DBS) and occupational health clearance and a supporting statement reflecting how these experiences have prepared you to undertake the MSc Nursing. You will be supported in preparing this portfolio by a member of the MSc programme team. This portfolio will be assessed using a predefined criteria and once successfully completed you will be offered a firm place on the programme.
