This integrated master's degree covers key subjects of structural, geotechnical and hydraulic engineering in a collaborative design setting. We will build your professional engineering skills over four years, focusing on innovative and sustainable solutions to civil and infrastructure engineering problems.

This degree is accredited by the Joint Board of Moderators (JBM) comprising the Institution of Civil Engineers, Institution of Structural Engineers, Institute of Highway Engineers, the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Permanent Way Institution on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer (CEng).

Assessment is by coursework and examinations. Group learning and communication skills are addressed through design studies and presentations. Practical and technical skills are assessed through laboratory work, data analysis and project reports.
Grades obtained in each year count towards the final degree classification, with increasing weight given to the later years.
