Course summary

This course is for students who wish to obtain an honours degree in surveying accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). It focuses on the core skills that are needed to become a chartered quantity surveyor. Surveyors are involved in the building industry, both in building inspections and in construction projects.
These include compulsory subjects, such as, environmental awareness, law, health and safety, business management, and information technology. Future graduate students will be expected to have studied these topics before progressing on to the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) training schemes approved and run through RICS.
